This untimed, free community run encourages donations to help keep the event accessible, with suggested contributions of $5 per person or $20 per family. The first 100 participants will be rewarded with a special Turkey Trot mug and a souvenir race pin, while prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers, as well as for the best-dressed participants. 5K - FREE, UNTIMED COMMUNITY RUN
STILSON PARKING LOT
Donations are accepted to help support the race and to keep it free for the community (suggested: $5/person, $20/family).
Register so we have an idea of how many people are coming. The first 100 people to show up on race day get a Turkey Trot mug and a souvenir race pin.
Prizes for top 3 female and male finishers and Best Dressed.
The race is untimed (there will be no official results).
Keep your dogs on leash, please.
Bundle up, it will be chilly!
COURSE:
The race starts and ends in Stilson Parking Lot, making a loop of the new pathway along the south side of Highway 22 to Wilson. The course starts with a ~.4mi loop in the parking lot, and then joins the community pathway system. Just before the 2-mile mark, runners will cross under Highway 22 and follow the pathway to the junction with HHR Road. Runners will turn right/north on HHR Road and run along the road for a short section before hopping back onto the pathway just past Wilson Elementary School. There will be a water station at the entrance to the pathway. Runners will remain on the pathway until the 3-mile mark, where a right turn will take you back into Stilson and to the finish line.
