This year, due to overwhelming interest, more spots have been added for the half and full marathons, and those who register by December 4, 2024, will be guaranteed a medal! The races kick off at 7:30 AM for the marathon, 7:40 AM for the half marathon, and 7:50 AM for the 10K, all starting from the Historic District. With plenty of enthusiastic volunteers, ample aid stations, and the support of dedicated sponsors, you're sure to have a fantastic time. TO ACCOMMODATE THE INTEREST AND DEMAND, WE HAVE ADDED MORE SPOTS TO THE HALF AND THE FULL MARATHON (MEDALS NOW GUARANTEED OPTION)! ALL REGISTRATIONS COMPLETED BY 12/04/24 WILL BE GUARANTEED A MEDAL! ONCE THOSE SLOTS ARE FILLED REGISTRATION WILL BE CLOSED.
CURRENTLY, THERE ARE STILL OPENINGS IN THE 10K, AND NO ADDITIONAL SPOTS WILL BE OPENED ONCE THE MAXIMUM IS REACHED.

Considered the Jewel of Georgia, Jekyll Island is the ideal location to host a distance running festival. The 2025 event will showcase many exciting updates to this beloved event. Jekyll offers scenic beauty and a taste of history that is second to none. All the courses course will take runners through this historic island and past several iconic landmarks. The course will also showcase the natural beauty of the island as runners will pass under the canopies of the majestic live oaks and wide open beaches. Recently built boardwalks will provide runners with beautiful vistas that will make the miles fly by. If the marathon distance is not on your training schedule then you won't be disappointed in running either the half marathon or 10k. Both routes will offer runners flat, historic, and beautiful courses. All three events are well supported with wonderful volunteers, plenty of aid stations, and superb sponsors.
NEW COURSES FOR 2025! Due to construction on the village green the start and finish have been moved to the Historic District! All three races will start at Pier and Stable Rd before heading north on Riverview to their respective turnarounds. Runners will then follow the bike path back to the finish in the Historic District. The exception being the marathon which will also turn around onto the bike path but will eventually migrate to the main roads to complete the southern section of the route. All three races are in the process of being certified.
Beast Pacing will provide pacing support in the half and full marathons.

When we ordered the medals it was based on the our previous years numbers. This year we've sold out faster then anticipated and there's still a lot of interest in running on Jekyll! Which is great! However, we thought we would not be able to offer a medal but our vendor confirmed that we can have additional medals done in time. I would call this a Christmas miracle but this isn't a Christmas race but you can appreciate the sentiment, right?=) Once we fill these spots we will not be adding anymore. -
