The JSF Memorial 5K honors the life and legacy of Joey Elissetchewho lost his short, courageous battle with Cholangiocarcinoma at just 30 years old. Diagnosed only 1 month before his passingfollowing 3 months of misdiagnosesJoeys story, like too many others, is a heartbreaking reminder of how this rare and aggressive cancer often goes undetected until its too late.
Held during Liver Cancer Awareness Month, this event honors not only Joey, but all those who have been impacted by forms of liver cancers like Cholangiocarcinoma. Together, we run to raise awareness, advance research, and bring hope to families in the Valley and beyond.
