Get ready for an inspiring and energetic day at the 3rd Annual Juneteenth Freedom 5K on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the beautiful White Hall State Historic Site in Richmond, Madison. Kicking off at 8:00 AM, this event celebrates the rich history of freedom while promoting community spirit and charitable giving. Participants can choose to take part in the 5K run/walk or enjoy a leisurely 1-mile fun walk, with a virtual option available for those who prefer to join from afar.
This year's theme, "_Historic Footsteps_," pays tribute to the journeys of those who have come before us, making it a meaningful occasion for all. The scenic course will be closed to traffic, allowing runners and walkers to enjoy the picturesque paved trails of White Hall Park. All participants will receive commemorative performance shirts, with awards presented to the top three male and female finishers, as well as age category winners. Beyond the race, attendees can look forward to music, food trucks, snacks, and plenty of fellowship. Join us for a day of fun, fitness, and community support while benefiting local charities, including The Maurice Hibbard Non-Traditional Scholarship, The Friends of Maple Grove Cemetery,
