Join us for the exciting K9K Race on Saturday, May 30th, 2026, at Riverside Park in Grand Rapids, Kent! This vibrant, family-friendly event invites you to create a team with friends, coworkers, church groups, or law enforcement families, making it a perfect opportunity to bond and enjoy a day of fun and fitness. Participants can choose between a scenic 3K run/walk or a more challenging 9K run, both designed to be relaxed and welcoming for everyone.
Bring your furry friends along (on a leash, of course) or come solo—everyone is welcome to join in the fun! Not only will you experience a fantastic morning filled with camaraderie and community spirit, but you'll also be contributing to a noble cause. Proceeds from the K9K support law enforcement employees and their families during times of hardship. Choose the 3K RUN/WALK or the 9K RUN. Both courses are beautiful, relaxed, and welcoming. Dogs are encouraged to join (on leash), but you dont need a dog to participate - everyone is welcome.
Proceeds from the K9K help support LAW ENFORCEMENT EMPLOYEES AND THEIR FAMILIES, especially during times of hardship, loss, or unexpected need. When you register, youre doing more than signing up for a race - youre helping care for the people who care for our communities.

The 3k is either a brief run through an awesome park, or a nice walk along the Grand River...your choice. Our runners have been as young as 2 and as old as 92. No matter their age, they all agree that it's a great course for some good causes through Riverside Park. You're pretty lucky if you go with this event because you won't be disappointed. -

Seems like an odd distance, which it is, which makes it fun. And simply it fit with the name of our race (K9K). This trail heads north out of Riverside Park, winds around LMCU ballpark and follows itself back. There have been some blazing speeds on this run and some not so blazing. In the end there have been many compliments on the course and we have fun.
