THE RUNWAY 5K RACE MAP IS DIFFERENT THIS YEAR. INSTEAD, THE RACE BEGINS AT THE AIRPORT TERMINAL AND CONTINUES ON A TREE-LINED FLAT, FAST PAVED ROAD THAT PASSES THROUGH SCENIC WILDLIFE FILLED WETLANDS. THIS COURSE OFFERS MORE PROTECTION FROM THE WIND, GREAT FOR PRS (PERSONAL RECORDS). THIS AREA IS HIGHLY ACCLAIMED FOR ITS RICH AND VARIED BIRD WATCHING.
IN ADDITION TO BEING A GREAT ROUTE FOR RUNNERS, THE RACE IS ALSO WALKER- AND STROLLER-FRIENDLY.
