KEYNOTE SPEAKER MARK FURNISH: DIAGNOSED WITH COLON CANCER IN 2022 DURING HIS FIRST COLONOSCOPY AT AGE 59. HE WAS ENCOURAGED TO BE SCREENED AFTER THE DIAGNOSIS OF FELLOW FIREFIGHTER, BRUCE DEARK, AND THE ENCOURAGEMENT OF HIS WIFE, JANNA. MARK IS THANKFUL TO NOW BE CANCER-FREE AND ENCOURAGES EVERYONE TO GET CHECKED. MARK HAS BEEN A FIREFIGHTER WITH THE MONROE TOWNSHIP FIRE DEPARTMENT FOR 44 YEARS AND HAS 2 DAUGHTERS AND 2 GRANDCHILDREN.

PACKET PICKUP Our packet pickup will be held on FRIDAY, AUGUST 28TH, from 12PM-6 PM in front of our office, PREVENTION PROJECT (Address: 1640 Lyndon Farm Ct #108, Louisville, KY 40223). Foundation For A healthy Kentucky Building. We will also have race morning packet pickup from 7-7:30 am at Waterfront Park Big Four Lawn.

A fun, untimed 1/4 mile fun run/walk for kids ages 9 and under. This is a FREE event. Participating children will receive a participation medal but there will be no shirts, bibs or awards for this event. You should register your child so we have a good head count. -
Virtual Runner/Walker
Incl. $3.75 Fee & T-Shirt

If you can't join us in person you can still help our life saving cause. Sign up as a virtual runner/walker and you can run/walk your own "Kicking Butt 5K" on your own schedule and hometown. We'll mail you your race packet/shirt unless you are able to pick up locally. The extra cost helps with mailing fees.
