This vibrant event marks the beginning of summer and celebrates 62 years of Koinonia ministry, welcoming participants of all ages and activity levels. Whether you’re a serious runner aiming for a personal best in the professionally timed 5K or a family looking to enjoy a leisurely stroll in the 5K Family Fun Run/Walk, there’s something for everyone. Kids can also join the fun with a special 1-mile Kid’s Fun Run!
The scenic route will take you through the beautiful camp grounds, offering breathtaking views and a fun atmosphere. Race registrations come with a stylish Koinonia 5K logo t-shirt, all-day access to hiking trails, boating, and fishing areas, along with photos of your race experience available post-event. Don’t miss the awards ceremony where medals will be presented to the top finishers, and all kids 10 and under will receive a participation award. ALL PEOPLE AND ACTIVITY LEVELS WELCOME!
This race supports the local community by providing funding for Koinonia's 9 week summer Nature Day Camp. Funded items include:
* Camp Scholarships
* Youth Scholarships for other Koinonia programs
* Operational funds to support day camp activities and staffing
This event is a 5K Run for our more serious participants, a 5K Family Fun Run/Walk to run, walk, or stroll at your leisure, and BACK AGAIN this year a Kid's 1 mile Fun Run! The route will take you through beautiful Koinonia on the camp road. A copy of the course will be provided ahead of the race.
RACE REGISTRATIONS INCLUDE:
* 5K or 1 mi professionally timed race
* New Koinonia 5K logo t-shirt
* ALL DAY ACCESS to Koinonia's hiking trails, boating, fishing areas, and more
* Photos of racers can be obtained on the race website following the event
For the 4th year in a row, race timing provided by Catskills Timing [https://catskillstiming.com/]!
Awards ceremony will follow the conclusion of the 5K race with Koinonia medals going to the top 3 men and top 3 women. All kids 10 and under will receive a participation award.

ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE
For the safety of all the racers, the camp road will be closed starting at 8:00 am on 5/24 in preparation to start the race. _Please plan to arrive before that time to ensure you are able to drive in._
