Organiser's Description
Celebrate National Bike Month and kick off National Bike to Work Week with all your family and friends at the Kroc to Lock bike ride! This is a great way to enjoy the day aboard your bike at your own pace! The approximately 10 mile ride will start at Kroc Augusta, proceed up the Augusta Canal Towpath to the Headgates (or turn around anywhere along the way) and then head back to the green space at the Kroc for a post-ride picnic! Bring your lawn chairs and blankets, we'll take care of the rest!We'll have the grill going with hotdogs (veggie dogs available upon request), cold drinks for everyone, and we'll be treating everyone to ice cold Pelican's Sno-Balls! EVENT REQUIREMENTSALL RIDERS MUST WEAR A HELMETALL RIDERS MUST BE SELF-SUFFICIENT Hybrid/Cross/Gravel Bikes, Mountain Bikes, or Comfort Bikes are recommended and all bikes should be in good working order. Minimum tire width to safely traverse the terrain is 38mm or 1.5".Pedal Assist E-Bikes are allowed on the Canal Towpath.Bring your water/sports hydration essentials, any nutritional items you may need for the distance, an emergency repair kit, and sunscreen.There are water fountains and bathrooms at the Lake Olmstead Trailhead, the Pump House, and the Savannah Rapids trailhead.NO REFUNDS
