PURPOSE OF EVENT
Through community events, races, and tournaments, Texan Playmakers is working toward developing a multi-sport facility in Willis, TX designed for all ages.

This is a long-term, community-driven project, and every event helps move it forward.

Lets build it together.

Texan Playmakers is bringing back our race day on December 5 with two races happening together:

FAMILY 5K
A family-friendly 5K open to runners and walkers of all experience levels.

Run it. Walk it. Bring the family. Whether youre chasing a personal best or simply coming out to enjoy the course, everyone is welcome.

LAST MAN STANDING ULTRA
Think you can outlast them all?

Runners will complete a 5K loop every 50 minutes. Make it back within the time limit, and you advance to the next round.

Then you do it again.

And again.

And again.

The race continues until only one eligible runner remains the Last Man Standing.

The Family 5K will take place alongside the Last Man Standing event, bringing runners, families, spectators, and the community together for one big race-day atmosphere.

Participants may purchase a race shirt for an additional cost. red question mark FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Can we walk the 5K? Absolutely! Walking, jogging, and running are all welcome. Is there an age requirement? There is no minimum age. Minors must be registered by an adult and accompanied by an adult on race day. Do children have to register? Yes. All participants must be registered. Children ages 12 and under get a discounted registration price Do I have to be an experienced runner? Not at all! The Family 5K is designed for all experience levels, from first-time participants and families to experienced runners. Will everyone receive a medal? Yes. Every registered participant who completes the full 5K will receive a finisher medal. Are there awards for the fastest runners? Yes. Bonus awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place overall finishers. Will there be water stations? Yes. Water stations will be available along the course and at the finish line. Can we wear Christmas costumes or festive outfits? Absolutely! Christmas costumes, festive outfits, and holiday spirit are encouraged as long as they do not interfere with the safety of you or other participants. Is the Family 5K the same race as the Last Man Standing Ultra? No. The Family 5K is a single 3.1-mile race. The Last Man Standing Ultra is a separate endurance event where competitors repeatedly complete the 5K course until only one eligible runner remains. sun behind rain cloud WEATHER POLICY This is a rain-or-shine event. December weather can be unpredictable, so participants should come prepared for the conditions and dress accordingly. The race will continue in cold temperatures, light rain, or other normal weather conditions. If severe or dangerous weather creates unsafe conditions, Texan Playmakers may delay, modify, or cancel the race for the safety of participants, volunteers, and spectators. If the race is canceled due to weather: Your paid registration will not be lost. The amount paid for your race registration will be issued as a race credit that may be applied toward registration for a future Texan Playmakers race. Race credits are valid for up to one year from the date of the canceled event. Texan Playmakers currently hosts two races each year, giving participants an opportunity to use their credit toward an upcoming race within the eligible period. Credits apply to race registration fees and are not redeemable for cash. Any difference in registration price for the future race will be the participants responsibility. Any weather-related delays, changes, or cancellations will be communicated to registered participants as quickly as possible. warning IMPORTANT NOTES This is a family-focused community event, but safety always comes first. The **Texan Playmakers Last Man Standing Ultra** is an endurance challenge built to test your speed, strategy, consistency, and determination. Runners must complete a **5K loop every 50 minutes** to remain in the race. Finish your loop before time expires? You advance. Then you do it again. And again. And again. There is **no set number of loops and no set finish time.** The race continues until only **one eligible runner remains the Last Man Standing.** --- chequered flag RACE FORMAT - **Loop Distance:** 3.1 miles (5K) - **Time Allowed Per Loop:** 50 minutes - Runners must complete each 5K before the end of the current 50-minute interval - A new 50-minute interval begins immediately when the previous interval ends - Runners may not begin the next loop early - There is **no predetermined number of loops** - The race continues until only one eligible runner remains The Last Man Standing Ultra will take place alongside our **Family 5K**, creating one exciting race-day atmosphere for runners, families, and spectators. --- alarm clock START TIME & LOOP TIMING - **Race begins at 8:00AM** - Participants should arrive early for check-in and be ready at the start line prior to race time - Each 5K must be completed before the end of the **50-minute interval** - When the timer reaches zero, the next 50-minute interval begins immediately Race officials will provide: - A **5-minute warning** - A **1-minute warning** - An **official start signal** before each new loop These warnings are provided as a courtesy. **Runners are responsible for monitoring the official race clock.** --- motorway COURSE & PACE - Each loop is approximately **3.1 miles** - The race is run on **pavement through a neighborhood** - Along the course, runners will encounter **rolling hills and views of Lake Conroe** - Runners determine their own pace as long as each loop is completed within the required time - Water stations will be available along the course and at the finish line - Runners must complete the entire designated course for every loop This race is as much about **strategy and consistency** as it is about speed. Finish quickly and earn more rest or pace yourself and conserve energy for the loops ahead. --- cup with straw REST & SUPPORT BETWEEN LOOPS Any time remaining after a runner completes a loop may be used for: - Rest and recovery - Food and hydration - Bathroom breaks - Clothing changes - Shoe changes - Basic crew assistance Runners may use their remaining time however they choose, but they must be prepared to begin the next loop within the permitted start window. **Runners may not begin the next loop early.** --- cross mark ELIMINATION A runner may be eliminated for: - Failing to complete the designated 5K course within the required interval - Failing to begin the next loop within the **3-minute grace period** - Shortening, cutting, or leaving the designated course - Voluntarily withdrawing from the race - Serious rule violations - Safety or medical concerns as determined by race officials Once a runner has been eliminated or voluntarily withdraws, **they may not re-enter the Last Man Standing Ultra.** --- trophy THE LAST MAN STANDING There is **no set number of loops.** The race continues until only **one eligible runner remains**. The winner will be the last remaining runner who successfully meets all race requirements and completes any **final-loop requirement announced by race officials**. The shirt is designed specifically for the event so you can represent the challenge long after race day is over. --- red question mark FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS **How far is each loop?** Each loop is approximately **3.1 miles (5K).** **How much time do I have to complete each loop?** You have **50 minutes from the official start of the interval** to complete the 5K and remain eligible for the next loop. **What happens if I finish early?** The remaining time is yours to rest, eat, hydrate, use the restroom, change clothes or shoes, or receive basic crew assistance. You must wait for the next official start before beginning another loop. **What if I'm not ready when the next loop starts?** You have a **3-minute grace period** to begin. However, the race clock does not stop or reset. Your next loop will still begin according to the original schedule. **Can I start my next loop early if I finish with a lot of time left?** No. All runners must wait until the official start of the next loop. **Is there a set number of loops?** No. The race continues until only **one eligible runner remains.** **Do I receive a medal if I don't win?** Yes.
