Come down to Shades of Lavender on August 2, 2025, for our first-ever Color Run! We plan to start the event off in our sunflower fields at 11:30 AM, with a sun salutation flow designed to stretch your running muscles and help you embrace your inner sunflower. The race will begin at noon and the fastest 3 runners will receive $10, $20, and $30 gift cards to our shop. The route will start at our greenhouse, will go through the White Pine forest, out into the lavender fields, around the perimeter of the farmland, and back through our Moon Gate (one of two color checkpoints, where our employees will be waiting with squirt guns to blast you with an eco-friendly mixture of purple mica powder and cornstarch). This .35 mile loop around the land will be repeated six times, bringing the Lavender Run to approximately 2.1 miles or 3.4 kilometers. We will end with the same yoga flow we did before the run. While the cool-down meditation afterwards is optional, we highly encourage you to participate. This event is BYO yoga mat if you have one, but those without yoga mats are encouraged to do the stretches and salutations on the soft summer grass and the meditation portion lying in one of our multiple hammocks hanging up in our forest. Tickets for the event are $20, but will go up to $25 on August 1st for any last-minute sign-ups. The price of each ticket includes one 16 oz. electrolyte elixir from our hydration station, which will also be distributing ice water. The elixirs you can choose from include our signature Lavender Lemonade infused with extra electrolytes or a watermelon coconut water punch.
