Brittany Kelley founded this race in 2023 with a simple but powerful dream: to make pink just a color again, not a symbol of pain or loss, but of love, hope, and healing. She passed away on September 28, 2025, after a courageous fight with stage 3 triple-negative breast cancer. She was a mother, a fighter, a community builder, and the heart behind this movement.

Her Legacy Lives On

What began as Brittany's vision has grown beyond anything she could have imagined.

In year one, over 400 participants raised more than $38,000. In 2024, we surpassed $50,000. And in 2025, our first year without her, over 800 participants came together and raised nearly $100,000 in her honor.

Thanks to your support, we've been able to provide chemo port access shirts, surgical bras, drain holders, meals, gas cards, therapy sessions, and weekend getaways, all staying right here in Carteret County, just like she wanted.

This Year, We Run for Her, Again

Join us as we carry her mission forward, support our neighbors still in the fight, and remind the world that pink doesn't define us. People do.
