Description:Lightning Youth Academy/Lightning Youth Running Club is hosting a 1-mile open for the community, 2k, 3k & 4k for youth and high school at Thornton Park in Santa Ana, CA.
KEY TIMES:
· 7:00 am– Team Packet Pick Up Begins · 7:45 am– First Event: Open for the community and includes walkers, joggers, adults and youth regardless of the skill level.· 8:30 am- First Youth Race
The first event is open to the community: Adults and children. After, the event will be for youth based on their age division.
Community Event: Community (Adults & Youth): 1 Mile Run/Walk: Race Time @ 7:45 am
Race 1: Girls 8 yrs & Under (2K Run): Race Time @ 8:30 am
Race 2: Boys 8 yrs & Under (2K Run): Race Time @ 8:50 am
Race 3: Girls 9-10 yrs (3K Run): Race Time @ 9:10 am
Race 4: Boys 9-10 yrs (3K Run): Race Time @ 9:35 am
Race 5: Girls 11-12 yrs (3K Run): Race Time @ 10:00 am
Race 6: Boys 11-12 yrs (3K Run: Race Time @ 10:30 am
Race 7: Girls 13-17 yrs (4K Run): Race Time @ 11:00 am
Race 8: Boys 13-17 yrs (4K Run): Race Time@ 11:30 am
REGISTRATION:
· Entry Dateline is Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at 11:59 pm on RunSignUp for the community and Athletic.net for clubs.· Register conveniently on Run Sign Up for the community and schools or Athletic.net for clubs. · Late Race Day Registrations may be available. · All participants must complete the waiver in order to participate in this event.
If registered through Athleti.net; All payment fees will be collected at the meet via cash or team check only even if they do not end up racing.

· 5-6……2018 & 2019 (1 Mile Run)· 7-8……2016-2017 (2K Run)· 9-10…..2014-2015 (3K Run)· 11-12…2012-2013 (3K Run)· 13-14…2010-2011 (4K Run)· 15-17…2007-2009 (4K Run)
ENTRY FEE:
· Entry Fee: $15.00 for each participant (walker/runner). $7.00 for youth competing in the youth races.· Entry fee must be paid through Run Sign Up· Registration and entry fees are non-refundable
MEET RESULTS:
· Results will be available live through SoCal Timing and final meet results will be posted online through Athletic.net · All registered participants will have a bib number and will have an official timing result. CHECK-IN:
· All participants must check in at the start line. Please observe the flow of the meet and get your runners to the line at the appropriate time.
INDIVIDUAL AWARDS:
· Individual awards will be awarded to the top 10 for each division race. Only the top 10 will be awarded in the 15-17 old combine division.
TEAM SCORING:
Top 5 will score points in all divisions.
