This inaugural event, hosted by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, combines community spirit with a noble cause as it supports the Special Olympics North Carolina (SONC). Participants can choose between a thrilling 5K run or a family-friendly 1.5-mile fun run, providing an opportunity for everyone to get involved and make a difference for nearly 53,000 registered SONC athletes and Unified partners.

Starting at 10:00 AM, the race will allow runners to experience the excitement of the Charlotte Motor Speedway track while contributing to a meaningful cause. Plus, the first 250 registered 5K participants will receive a complimentary voucher for the spectacular Christmas Light Show at the speedway, adding an extra sparkle to the event!
