This exciting event will take place at the scenic Mission Hike and Bike trail, featuring a fun out-and-back course on a paved path. Whether you're looking to run, jog, or walk, this is the perfect opportunity to get active while supporting a great cause. Proceeds from the event will benefit MD Anderson Cancer Center, with IBC Bank generously matching donations dollar for dollar.
The Lisa Shampoe 5K has a rich history of raising over $100,000 for cancer-fighting organizations and individuals over the past 18 years. This year, every pre-registered participant will have a chance to win a year’s worth of meals from Chick-fil-A through a special raffle! Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in various age categories, as well as an overall winner. Don’t miss the chance to make a difference while enjoying a day of fitness and community spirit. Mark your calendars and get ready to hit the starting line at 7:30 AM—let's make this year’s event a huge success!

Join us male signfemale sign August 15, 2026 at the Mission Hike and Bike for the 19th annual 5K event
where the course will be an out and back on the paved path . Run to win , jog , walk for your health , do this for someone that you know who has had or has Cancer .
This year we are working in conjunction with the IBC Bank where proceeds will go to MD Anderson and will be matched by IBC Bank Dollar for Dollar.

To help bring cancer awareness to our local community, financial support for treatment and research ,
financial assistance in providing non-medical home care services including respite care for those fighting Cancer and lacking financial resources.

* CHIC-FIL-A (All pre-registered participants will be entered in a drawing for a free 1 year Chic-Fil-a meal)
