Set against the stunning backdrop of the USS LST-325, located at 610 NW Riverside Dr, this approximately 3-mile race (2.97 miles) will take you along the scenic Greenway Passage, ensuring a delightful experience without the hustle and bustle of downtown streets.
Participants will kick off the race on the deck of the historic ship, making for a unique and memorable start. With awards for overall male and female finishers, as well as top placements in various age categories, there’s plenty of incentive to put your best foot forward! Plus, a portion of the proceeds will benefit the LST, making your participation even more meaningful. START TIME: 7:00AM or 8:00AM (Central Time) You will have the choice to run at either time. Each time slot will max out at 125 participants.
LOCATION: Start/Finish will be at the USS LST-325 in downtown Evansville, IN! Address is 610 NW Riverside Dr. Evansville, IN 47708
THE RACE: The approximate 3 mile race (2.97mi) race will start and finish in front of the LST building and use the Greenway Passage only (no downtown streets). All participants will start on the deck of the ship then proceed to the race start! See map below of the course.
COST: Medal Only $18 to Jan 15; $22 to Feb 15; $25 until Race day. (Add $12 for race shirt)
**All sales are final, no refunds.
SHIRT/BIB PICK UP/LATE REG: Early pick up will be February 28 from 5:00-6:00PM at Ultimate Fit.
If you are unable to pick up on Friday, you can pick up at race location Saturday morning. If you are in the 7:00AM race you can get your shirt/bib from 6:15-6:45AM. If you are in the 8:00AM race you can get your shirt/bib from 6:15-7:45AM.
AWARDS: Overall Male and Female. Top 2 M/F 14 & Under; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69;70-79;80+
Since there are two different start times, results will be added together after the second run time. Placement pin awards will be mailed to the winners.
TIMING: This event will have computer timing by To the Finish Timing. Since results will need to be combined from both start times, results will not be released until Saturday afternoon.
BENEFACTOR: A portion of the proceeds will go back to the LST!
WEATHER: The race will go on rain or shine. If threatening weather is in the area we will delay until safe.
