Get ready to celebrate all the amazing moms at Madre's Fiesta, happening on Saturday, May 11th, 2024, in the picturesque town of Middleburg, Clay! This inaugural event promises a fun-filled day with a vibrant fiesta atmosphere, complete with lively Mariachi music, colorful piñatas, and the mouthwatering world-famous chorizo and egg burritos created by race director Mike Martinez of Sombrero Running Events.
Participants can choose from a variety of race distances, including a scenic 1/2 Marathon, a 14k, and a 7k, as well as a 1-mile Kids Fun Run, all set along the beautiful Sandridge Trail. The courses are designed to be flat and non-technical, making them perfect for runners of all levels. With generous aid stations stocked with refreshments and delicious hot food available post-race, this event is all about community and celebration. Plus, unique custom medals will be awarded, honoring not only the fastest runners but also those who embrace the spirit of the race with awards for Overall, Master's, Grand Master's, and the cherished Slow A$$ award. Join us for a day of fitness, fun, and festivities that you won't want to miss!

We are throwing a party for all of the Mom's out there to celebrate their day by having a Fiesta that will include Pinata's and Mariachi music and the world famous chorizo and egg burrito's of the race director Mike Martinez of Sombrero Running Events LLC!
Come and join us on the beautiful Sandridge Trail in Middleburg, Fla for this Inaugural event with distances of 1/2 Marathon, 14k and 7k as well as a 1-mile KIDS FUN RUN. These distances are on looped courses with the 1/2 marathon running a 6.65 mile loop 2x and 14k doing a 4.2 mile loop 2x and 7k = 1 loop of 4.2 miles on a flat-ish and non-technical and wide trail.
We will have 1 main aid station for all events and a second aid station for the 1/2 marathoners about 1/2 way on each loop, with each aid station stocked with water and electrolytes and standard aid station fare. This event is a CUPLESS RACE which means we will not have cups for you to drink with so you need to bring your own hydration pack or handheld bottle. We will also have our standard spread of hot and delicious food cooked on a blackstone grill that is also FREE of charge to all runners and volunteers. Per Florida State Forest Guidelines there is no alcoholic beverages allowed on state forest property so we will have non alcoholic beverages at your disposal.
We will have custom made medals that will fit the latin theme of our event. Our awards will be for Overall, Master's, and Grand master's divisions and the highly coveted Slow A$$ award because we value the DFL/BOP crowd as much as we value the front runners and middle of the pack and we believe in celebrating ALL runners/walkers!
