Join us for the Maine Needs Community Walk in Lewiston on Saturday, May 24, 2025! This exciting fundraising event aims to support the important mission of Maine Needs, a local donation center dedicated to providing essential goods for individuals and families in need throughout Maine. Participants of all ages, whether walkers or runners, are encouraged to express their creativity by showcasing basic needs in fun and imaginative ways—think wearing your underwear and bra on the outside of your clothes or sporting silly socks!
Not only will you be making a difference in your community, but you’ll also enjoy a festive atmosphere complete with food trucks to satisfy your cravings. Don’t forget to bring along bottles of tick spray, sunblock, deodorant, and bars of soap to help fill summer requests for those in need. While this is a non-timed event, it promises to be full of fun and camaraderie. Be sure to register by May 1, 2025, to receive your official event t-shirt. Whether you’re participating in-person or virtually, let’s come together to support Maine Needs and make a positive impact!

Please join us in Lewiston for a fundraising walk to support Maine Needs!
Maine Needs is a community fueled donation center based in Portland. We are calling on local runners and walkers to join us in supporting the critical need for basic material goods for individuals and families throughout Maine.
Race participants are encouraged to highlight basic needs in whatever creative way they want to! This can be wearing your underwear and bra on the outside of your clothes, wearing funny socks, or whatever you can think of! Guest judges will award prizes for the most creative expression.
There will also be food trucks to satisfy for your hunger!
Please encourage those cheering you on to bring bottles of tick spray, sunblock, deodorant and bars of soap for us to fill Summer requests!
NOTES:
This race is NOT timed. All are welcome whether they walk or run!
In order to receive a t-shirt, registration must be completed by May 1st, 2025.
Virtual Walk participants will NOT receive a t-shirt. Virtual Walk participants will be entered into a raffle to win a Maine Needs Sea Bag!
