THE FIRST 350 WALKERS AND RUNNERS TO SIGN UP FOR THE 5K ARE GUARANTEED TO RECEIVE BEAUTIFUL FINISHER'S MEDALS TO COMMEMORATE YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENT. THIS RACE IS A FUNDRAISER FOR THE FRIENDS OF THE MANATEE CENTER, WHICH SUPPORTS THE OPERATIONS OF THE MANATEE CENTER IN FORT PIERCE. ALL PROCEEDS STAY LOCAL AND ARE DEDICATED TO ENHANCING ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION THROUGH THE MANATEE CENTER, FOCUSING ON CONSERVATION AND PRESERVATION OF THE INDIAN RIVER LAGOON, AN ESTUARY OF NATIONAL SIGNIFICANCE, MARINE LIFE WITHIN THE LAGOON, AND THE SURROUNDING ECOSYSTEMS.
