Organiser's Description
JOIN US IN HELPING OUR US MILITARY VETERANS BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS VIRTUAL RACE!
THE RACE
_This is a VIRTUAL 5K run, meaning you dont have to commit to any specific place or time to participate. You can do this anywhere!_
During the first week of October, you will be able to submit the results of a run, whether it be outdoors or on a treadmill. Just make sure to share your distance and time with us! You can walk or run, only the distance matters. It doesnt matter how fast you are unless youre the competitive type, then feel free! Theres no first place prize, though
There is a registration fee, but all proceeds go toward a charity designed to empower veterans through fitness.
THE CHARITY
_As mentioned above, all proceeds from this race go to charity:_
This race is sponsored by PROJECT MXL, a dedicated 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to connect veterans and their families with CrossFit Affiliates and HIIT programs across the country. They raise money with the sole purpose of supporting the physical and mental wellness of those who served our nation. They aim to grant veterans free access to fitness programs through charity funding. Project MXL knows that gym memberships can be financially straining, but for their selfless service, veterans dont deserve that strain.
While registration fees do go to charity, you can also donate to Project MXL on this page OR on their website: projectmxl.org
ANY AND ALL DONATIONS WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!
We also ask that you share your run results on social media and tag @projectmxl with your post! Get some of your friends to participate as well!
