Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the 14th Annual Military Heroes 5k/10k Run on Saturday, August 15, 2026, in the beautiful town of Westlake, Texas! This uplifting event, located at Solana Plaza, aims to raise vital funds for America's veterans who have bravely served our country. With a goal of supporting those who have suffered injuries in the line of duty, the Military Heroes Run has proudly donated over $2.5 million over the years.
Participants can choose between two exhilarating race distances: the 5k course, which measures approximately 3.4 miles, and the challenging 10k route featuring rolling hills. Both courses will be chip-timed, ensuring a smooth and accurate race experience. Plus, all finishers will receive medals, and awards will be given to top finishers in various age categories. Be sure to arrive early for registration and packet pickup, and remember, the first 350 runners will receive a race T-shirt! Join us for a day of camaraderie, competition, and community spirit as we honor our heroes and enjoy a fantastic running experience!

WE GUARANTEE THE FIRST 350 RUNNERS A RACE T-SHIRT. WE HAVE HIT THAT MARK. ANYONE WHO SIGNS UP AFTER AUGUST 2ND IS NOT GUARANTEED A SHIRT. IF WE HAVE SHIRTS LEFT OVER AFTER EVERYONE CHECKS IN ON SATURDAY THE 16TH, THEY WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR THOSE WHO WEREN'T ABLE TO GET ONE BEFORE THE RUN.

We are running in the Town of Westlake. Our event location is in the Solana Plaza and we will be running on the trail/path.

THE 5K COURSE IS NOT CERTIFIED AND IS CLOSER TO 3.4 MILES.
The 5k course is a loop with some shade. The 10k course will follow the 5k until the 1 mile then branch off along the trail a different direction out and back, joining back with the 5k course. The 10k is hilly with some shade.
Chip-Timed Event
The 5k & 10k will be electronically timed by DoMore Race Services. All participants will be given a bib with a disposable chip attached.
Fun Run participants are not chip timed.
FINISHER MEDALS FOR ALL
AGE GROUP AWARDS FOR EACH DISTANCE
There will be Overall M/F finishers, Master M/F finishers, and three deep for the 5K in the following age group categories for M/F:
9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-80, 80+
