For younger competitors, the Mini MightyMan Youth Triathlon offers an exciting introduction to the sport, with swimming distances of 100 or 200 meters, a 2-mile bike course, and a fun run of either 1/4 or 1/2 mile. Athletes will start their swim individually, ensuring a smooth experience. Organiser's Description
It is early in the season and a great way to get involved in the sport as well as a good warm up race for veterans
POOL SWIM: 400 meters in the newly built Freedom Pool
BIKE: 6 miles on closed roads
RUN: 2 miles on a beautiful path through the park
Start Time: 8:10am
MINI MIGHTY MAN YOUTH TRIATHLON
POOL SWIM: 100 or 200 Meters. Athletes will start individually, 5 seconds apart. Athlete will be swimming lengths of 50 meters each. Athlete will snake their way through two lanes. Each lane will be going in only one direction.
BIKE- 2 Miles: (1) 2 Mile loop. The bike course is a park road that will be closed to vehicle traffic for the duration of the event. Bikes allowed: road bike, time trial, mountain bike or hybrid. (Sorry, no tandem or recumbent bikes!)
RUN-1/4 or 1/2 Mile: The run course consists of a loop in the park.
