Welcome to the Mission 5k Fun Run/Walk! 100% of the proceeds go to supporting FBCVM's mission trips. Below are some of the upcoming mission events your funds will go to support:
Camp Barnabas: The student ministry will be taking a group to Camp Barnabas in Missouri to work as Counselors, Barnstormers and Cabin Parents. Camp Barnabas is a ministry in Southwest Missouri dedicated to providing a unique Christian summer camp experience to individuals with special needs, their siblings, and youth from across the United States. (Camp Barnabas)
GAP Ministries: Each year FBCVM partners with G.A.P. ministries to send teams of people to Mexico to share the gospel through various avenues including providing medical care, the construction of buildings, spiritual education and agricultural support. (GAP Ministries: Gloria Al Padre)
Colorado: A team from FBCVM will travel to Colorado to assist with a church plant. They will help in planning a service, do outreach events and advertising work.
Kenya: In July, a team from churches in Texas will be traveling to Kenya to work with street kids and refugees.
Madagascar: In June, a team from FBCVM will travel to Madagascar to work with local churches to train members to evangelism and discipleship.
COURSE:
The course is a two-lap loop running through the Valley Mills neighborhoods. The race will begin and end in the parking lot of FBC Valley Mills.
