Join us for the inaugural Monteith 5k & Kids 1k Run/Walk on Saturday, March 16, 2024, in beautiful Huntersville, Mecklenburg! This exciting community event is not just about running; it's a heartfelt gathering to support Officer Bill Broadway, a local hero battling cancer. The day kicks off with the Kids 1k race starting at 8:30 AM, where families are encouraged to walk or run together. The 5k race follows at 9:00 AM, welcoming both walkers and runners, and even friendly dogs are invited to join in the fun!
Whether you’re racing or cheering from the sidelines, there’s something for everyone. Enjoy delicious offerings from food trucks, including Joy Coffee and Food Junkee, while soaking up the vibrant atmosphere filled with music and community spirit. The races will begin at the Monteith Park Clubhouse, with the Kids 1k winding down the greenway and back, and the 5k taking participants through the scenic Monteith Park neighborhood.
