This exciting event, hosted on the pristine trails of the Vasaloppet Nordic Ski Area, invites participants to experience the thrill of a unique triathlon format featuring a 6 km run, a 12 km fat bike ride, and a 6 km ski, with options for both skate and classic styles.
Gather your friends and form a team of 2 or 3 participants to tackle this frosty challenge together! The race kicks off at the Nordic Center, where you'll navigate a mix of snow-covered trails and paved roads during the run. The biking portion will take you through beautifully groomed trails, and the skiing segment promises an invigorating glide back to the finish line. With a minimum tire size of 3.7" required for bikes, participants can ensure a smooth and responsible ride while minimizing trail damage. Organiser's Description
Hosted by Mora Ski Club and Vasaloppet, USA.
Winter triathlon held on the pristine trails of the Vasaloppet nordic ski area and sanctioned by USA Triathlon! Participants will run 6km, fat bike 12km, and ski 6km. Skiing will be either skate or classic style. Start and finish at the Nordic Center. MINIMUM TIRE SIZE FOR THE BIKE WILL BE 3.7" TO ENSURE A GOOD EXPERIENCE AND MINIMIZE TRAIL DAMAGE.
Teams will consist of 2 or 3 participants. If 2 people, person doing the first leg will then do the third leg. Chip will need to be exchanged in the team transition area and securely affixed prior to leaving transition.
Run Course:
Run will start in front of the Nordic Center and proceed north to a bike path. The first approximately, 800 meter will be a mix of snow covered trail, bike path, and gravel road. The remainder of the run will be on paved roads. Please be aware of slick areas even on the paved portions of the run, after all it is winter!!

Bike Course:
Bike will exit transition and proceed south on the trail, around the school's nature loop and then cross over the start/finish line where the loop into the woods begins. Bike course will be signed and we will have volunteers out at a few control points, but it will be up to the racers to follow the signage. Bike will be 2 6km loops, you will pass by the transition area before starting your second loop. Entire loop will be on a snow packed, groomed trail.

Ski Course:
Ski course will exit to the south, and follow the same course as the bike minus the approximately 1000 meters on the very north part of the map. Racers will come back past the transition area and make the same small loop around the school's nature trail and into the finish!
