Join us for the Nate the Great Eight Race on Saturday, March 29, 2025, in beautiful Yukon, Canada! Organized by Nate the Great Eight, this uplifting event celebrates the legacy of Nathaniel Hall, a young man whose passion for healthy living and compassion for all beings inspired his community. This year marks the fifth anniversary of the race, and for the first time, we’re thrilled to introduce a 5K option alongside our traditional 8-mile and 8K races. Participants can also enjoy an 8-minute fun run or challenge themselves with “The Double” by completing both the 8K and 8-mile races!
Packet pickup will take place on March 28 at OK Runner in Oklahoma City, and race-day pickup will kick off at 6:30 AM. The 8K race starts at 7:30 AM, followed by the 5K at 7:45 AM, the fun run at 7:50 AM, and the 8-mile race at 8:45 AM. The Nate the Great 8 Race came about in response to a desire to keep the legacy of Nathaniel (Nate the Great) Hall moving forward. Nate was a fiercely independent, kind, compassionate, and mature young man with a heart full of love for all living things. He passed away May 1, 2019, but he lived his 16 years well, and his family and friends loved him endlessly. Nate truly believed in healthy living, and as a committed vegan he always searched for ways to support animal causes in our community. For this reason, Yukons Pets and People is our beneficiary for this year's Nate the Great 8 Race.
THIS WILL BE OUR FIFTH YEAR FOR OUR RACE, AND WE ARE CELEBRATING BY OFFERING A 5K FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME!
Participants can participate in an 8 mile or 8K, or 5K competitive and officially timed race, or enjoy the 8 minute fun run. Runners and walkers who need more of a challenge can compete in THE DOUBLE by completing BOTH the 8K and 8 mile races! Doublers' 8 Mile race will start at 8:45 or whenever they cross the start line for the second time time, if they finish the 8K after 8:45.
