Join us for the National Crime Victims' Rights Week 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Island Park in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan! This uplifting event is designed to honor and support victims of crime while fostering community connection. Participants can choose between a challenging 5K run or a leisurely 1-mile walk, both set against the beautiful backdrop of the park system in downtown Mt. Pleasant.
The theme for this year's event is "Connecting, KINSHIP, and Healing," highlighting the importance of shared humanity and collective support for survivors and victims. Starting at 10:00 AM, the event promises to be family-friendly, with all participants receiving a finisher's medal as a token of appreciation. Registration begins at 9:00 AM, and refreshments including coffee, snacks, donuts, and fruit will be available. Best of all, proceeds will benefit the William & Janet Strickler Center, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting those in need. Come together with us to raise awareness, foster healing, and build a more inclusive community for all!

The Isabella County Prosecuting Attorney's Office-Victim Rights Program is hosting a 5K Run/ 1 Mile Walk to commemorate National Crime Victim's Rights Week April 6-12, 2025.
The event will take place at Island Park, Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858.
During National Crime Victims' Rights Week, it's important to acknowledge the grief and trauma that victims and their families, and our entire community, experience. Our shared grief becomes a little lighter to carry when we all come together to support each other. The 5k Run/ 1 Mile Walk will take place on April 12, 2025 and the route will go through the park system in downtown Mount Pleasant. This years theme for Crime Victims Rights WeekConnecting, KINSHIP, and Healing. This year's Crime Victims' Rights Week has challenged the Nation to confront and remove barriers to achieving justice for all victims of crime.
This years theme of KINSHIP is call-to-action to recognize that shared humanity should be at the center of supporting all survivors and victims of crime. KINSHIP is a state of being with survivors that drives vital connections and increases access to services, rights, and healing. KINSHIP is where victim advocacy begins. By doing so, were able to offer support, options for life-saving services, and, most importantly, hope. Moving forward, our agencies are committed to becoming more inclusive, accessible, and trauma informed to assist victims of crime. We want to showcase how professionals and organizations, in our communities work together to reach all victims. The purpose of this family friendly 5K run/ 1 Mile Walk is to bring together our communitys resources and showcase how we work together to raise awareness for victims of crime in our area. By coming together, we hope to create a more inclusive field so that every victim has the access to services and the support they need.

10:00 AM: 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk Begins
Hydration station: Provided on 5K course.
ALL Participants will receive a finishers medal!
We have nominated all proceeds will be awarded to WILLIAM & JANET STRICKLER CENTER (NONPROFIT)!
