The MMIR (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives) Healing & Prayer Run is a run at your own pace and place. You can run, walk, bike, hike, basically, any movement anywhere. Our mission is to be in solidarity with Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, Two-Spirits, Relatives, grieving families, and individuals working on the front lines to end this epidemic of violence against our Indigenous relatives. We will run in prayer and healing as a community as we honor those who have gone missing or murdered.

This year, we are working with Honwungsi Consulting Services in Phoenix, Arizona. Honwungsi provides services to families and survivors experiencing violence, homelessness and other disparities associated with victimization. Honwungsi's primary focus is the Missing Person and Recovery Program. Honwungsi is a small team of individuals who searches for loved ones and/or assists families in coordinating community search efforts, assisting with coordination of law enforcement with families. Financial assistance gives the ability to provide assistance to families who are searching for loved ones. The most payout is lodging, fuel, and food. This expense is also afforded to the search teams for their fuel and lodging. In the last year, they have found missing persons in the Sober Living Crisis and have returned many victims to their families.

* Wear any red or purchase our MMIR t-shirt at our NWR Store. Deadline for ordering t-shirts will be on April 23 at noon. (MST) Those who order after the April 23 deadline will still get a t-shirt, but it will most likely not arrive in time for the event. If this is you, please wear red or any other NWR t-shirt you have for pictures and to show solidarity.
