THE NORTHEAST MS ALCORN STATE 5K RUN FOR SCHOLARS' MISSION IS TO RAISE FUNDS TO PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STUDENTS FROM NORTHEAST MS TO ATTEND ALCORN STATE UNIVERSITY. YOUR SUPPORT WILL ENSURE THESE STUDENTS WILL HAVE THE ADDITIONAL FUNDS NEEDED TO ATTEND COLLEGE.
MANY OF THESE STUDENTS ARE FIRST GENERATION STUDENTS ENTERING COLLEGE AND WILL NEED AS MUCH SUPPORT FROM YOU AS POSSIBLE. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN!
IN ADDITION, THERE WILL BE A HEALTH AND WELLNESS FAIR HELD IN CONJUNCTION WITH 5K RUN AT FAIR PARK. WE INTEND TO HAVE THE FOLLOWING 1. BLOOD DRIVE, 2. DIABETES, BLOOD PRESSURE AND CHOLESTEROL SCREENING, 3. COVID SCREENING AND VACCINATIONS.
THE VIRTUAL RACE OPTION IS FOR THOSE WHO ARE NOT ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN PERSON. WE ARE PLEASED TO OFFER RACEJOY TO MONITOR OUR VIRTUAL RACE. SEPARATE RESULTS WILL BE PROVIDED FOR VIRTUAL RUNNERS. PLEASE NOTE, DUE TO THE NATURE OF VIRTUAL RESULTS BEING RELIANT ON DEPENDABLE CELL SERVICE AND HONESTY, THERE WILL BE NO AWARDS FOR VIRTUAL PARTICIPANTS. RESULTS ARE FOR RECOGNITION ONLY.
