The New Bern Autism 5K Run/Walk Fun Day is more than a raceits a heartfelt movement for acceptance, connection, and change. Held in the heart of downtown New Bern with the scenic beauty of Union Point Park as our backdrop, this annual event gathers people from all walks of life to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with families affected by autism.
Now in its fifth year, this event is a vibrant celebration of resilience, joy, and community unity. It is a day to uplift the voices of autistic individuals, to honor their journeys, and to walk alongside the parents, siblings, caregivers, and advocates who support them every single day.
We run for those who cant yet speak.
We walk for families who feel unheard.
We gather so no one feels alone.
