Kick off 2026 with a bang at the New Day * New Year 5k & HNY Fun Run, taking place in Ashburn, Loudoun! Join us on Thursday, January 1, for the 8th anniversary of this exciting event that invites participants to celebrate the first day of the New Year through fitness and fun. The 5k race kicks off at 10 AM from Lost Rhino Brewing Company, followed by the Happy New Year Fun Run starting at 11 AM.
For those who prefer a virtual experience, we offer the chance to join in on the action anytime from December 31 through January 31, with options for a virtual 5k, 10k, or the Out with the Old/In with the New Challenge. It's a fantastic way to embrace the spirit of the New Year, whether you run, walk, or jog. Get ready to make memorable resolutions and enjoy a vibrant community atmosphere as you step into 2026 on the right foot!

Start the New Year off on the right foot! Join us for the 8th anniversary running of the New Day * New Year 5k on Thursday, January 1, 2026.

Course will take you through the neighborhood streets of Ashburn and bring you back to the finish line where you can toast the New Year and warm up inside Lost Rhino Brewing's Tap Room with breakfast and beer.
