Kick off the new year with an exhilarating running experience at the New Year 1M, 5K, 10K, 15K & Half Marathon taking place on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at the scenic Carney Island in Ocklawaha, Florida. Starting at 8:00 AM, this event offers a variety of distances to suit runners of all levels, from a fun 1-mile run to the challenging half marathon. The courses are designed as out-and-back routes, with the half marathon completing the course four times, ensuring plenty of opportunities to soak in the beautiful surroundings.
Participants will enjoy a festive atmosphere, with themed medals awarded to all finishers and a costume contest to add to the fun! Make sure to arrive early for packet pickup, which begins 30 minutes before the race. Parking is available for $7 per car. Join us for a day of fitness, community, and celebration as we welcome the new year with open arms and enthusiastic strides!
