North Beach 5K Run/Walk
Date: Saturday, July 12, 2025
Time and Location: North Beach Oasis, 100 Kewaunee Street, Racine, WI 53402
Packet pickup: 8:00 am - 8:45 am
Race start: 9:00 am
Course: This is an out-and-back course starting at the North Beach Oasis. Participants will proceed north on the paved bike trail, enjoying scenic views of Lake Michigan to their right. The course continues onto Michigan Blvd, where a turnaround point will direct participants back to the finish line.
Awards:
Recognition pins will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each 5-year age group.
All finishers will receive a custom finisher's medal, a commemorative towel (while supplies last), one complimentary beer (for participants aged 21 and over), a goodie bag, and entry into a post-race raffle.
Cost (General):
Adults: $30
Youth (17 and under): $15
Remote Runners: $35

Water Safety - Important Information:
After the race, we encourage you to enjoy the beautiful beach! However, please take a moment to learn about the potential dangers of Lake Michigan rip currents. These strong currents can quickly pull swimmers away from the shore and can be life-threatening.
Here are some essential safety tips for Lake Michigan:
Always swim in designated areas where lifeguards are on duty.
Never swim alone.
Be aware of the water conditions and heed any warning flags that are posted.
If you find yourself caught in a rip current, do not panic. Swim parallel to the shoreline until you are out of the current, and then swim back to shore.

The North Beach 5K Run/Walk is a fun and picturesque event that supports the Friends of Racine Parks Recreation and Cultural Services, Inc. This race welcomes participants of all ages and abilities and offers a wonderful way to experience a summer morning in Racine.
