Join us for the North Salem Old Fashion Days 5k Run/Walk & 10k Run on Labor Day, September 1st, 2025, in the charming town of North Salem, Hendricks! This exciting event kicks off with registration from 6:30 to 7:30 AM, followed by the race starting at 8 AM sharp in Downtown North Salem, at the corner of Broadway and Pearl Streets. Participants can choose between the scenic 5k and the more challenging 10k courses that wind through lightly traveled country roads, featuring moderate to difficult hills.
With mile markers and water stations conveniently located at both the 5k and 10k turnarounds, you can stay refreshed and focused on your race. Awards will be presented to the top male and female finishers in both the 10k and 5k categories, along with age group winners in 5-year increments for the runs. Plus, all registered runners and walkers will enjoy a complimentary breakfast to fuel their post-race celebrations! Bring your friends and family to enjoy a day filled with activities, while supporting community projects, the local food pantry, school programs, and the Eel River Twp Volunteer Fire Department. Organiser's Description
Held on Labor Day, September 1st. Registration opens from 6:30 -7:30AM and the race starts at 8AM sharp, so allow enough time for your drive to North Salem, find a parking spot and get to registration by 7AM.
The race starts in Downtown North Salem at the corner of Broadway and Pearl Streets. The course is out-and-back on lightly traveled country roads with some moderate to difficult hills. The course has mile markers and water stations located at the 5k turn around as well as the 10k turn around. Awards given to overall male & female winners in 10K Run, 5K Run, and 5K Walk, as well as age group winners in the 10K Run and 5K Run (no age groups in walk). All race divisions, male & female, will be in 5 year increments.
There is no pre-race packet pickup; pre-registered packets picked up race day only. Free breakfast to all registered runners/walkers with valid meal ticket. Lots of other activities for friends and family!
Net proceeds benefit various community projects, food pantry, school programs, & the Eel River Twp Volunteer Fire Dept.
