UPDATE! We have reached our goal to purchase the chair. Michelle has been trying it out and reports it really helped her to participate in an after-work event that she would have had to otherwise skip.



We are still collecting funds toward her never-ending medical bills.

(ORIGINAL TEXT:) We are so excited for you to join us on our first 'Ohana virtual 5k fundraiser!



Our first beneficiary is Michelle D, who has struggled for years with chronic conditions made worse by COVID. She is a Disney cast member and small business owner and works really hard to make ends meet, but sometimes the body does not want to cooperate! Our goal is to raise enough money to buy her a lightweight powered mobility device (a little scooter) that she can get in and out of the car on her own but will also reduce the number of steps she has to take to enjoy her days off around our beloved Disney Parks.



Life is too short to miss out on when your body isn't cooperating... and this will help Michelle to safely enjoy her hard-earned time off. Leftover funds will go to help defray the costs of medical bills.



If we are successful with this fundraiser, we hope to do it again... there are lots of folks out there who could benefit from a scooter!



We plan to organize a morning where anyone local to Orlando can meet up and do the 3.1 (or as many as you can muster) miles as a gentle walk- time and place to be announced when we have a better idea of how many will join us.



We hope that some Disneyland enthusiasts choose to do the same!



However, it's a virtual 5k- so you can do it wherever and whenever you choose!



'Ohana is very important, and with your help we can get closer to getting this device for Michele and hopefully make this a recurring event to help other 'Ohana!!!
