WE NO LONGER HAVE ANY SHIRTS IN INVENTORY. THE DEADLINE WAS OCTOBER 8TH. THERE MIGHT BE SOME THAT ARE PICKED UP THIS YEAR OR SOME SHIRTS FROM LAST YEARS RACE.

Join us for another cross-country adventure at the Okefenokee Swamp Park in Waycross at the 47th annual Swamp Run! A unique, mostly-dirt course on forest service roads through the beautiful area around the park. This race is one of the second oldest continuous races in South Georgia.

In addition to the fun for all ages, this race also supports a great cause as it is benefiting the UGA ALLIGATOR RESEARCH PROJECT IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE OKEFENOKEE SWAMP PARK.

A partnership between University of Georgia researchers and the Okefenokee Swamp Park focuses on conservation and education efforts needed to maintain the swamps native alligator population, which is vital to the economic vitality of the region. On Aug. 27, UGAs Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant and the Okefenokee Swamp Park (OSP) signed a commitment to continue its Alligator Education and Research Project, work that informs the OSP on conservation and management of the swamp, provides a better understanding of alligators, and enhances wildlife education.

_"Applied research like this project in South Georgia is helping communities throughout the state address critical, local challenges, _said Jennifer Frum, vice president for UGA Public Service and Outreach. _"This is a great example of how UGA is fulfilling its mission as Georgias land-grant and sea-grant institution._
