Join us for the 6th Annual Old Savannah City Mission 5K Run "Race For A Place" on Saturday, April 13, 2024! This exciting point-to-point race kicks off at 8 AM in the picturesque Forsyth Park, located in Savannah, Chatham. Participants can look forward to a vibrant atmosphere filled with community spirit as they run or walk the scenic route, all while supporting a noble cause.
After crossing the finish line back at Forsyth Park, enjoy a fantastic post-race party featuring three food trucks, refreshing drinks, lively music, and an entertaining magic show by the incomparable Magic Marc! Registration is open until April 12, with day-of-event registration available from 7:00 AM to 7:45 AM. Proceeds from this uplifting event will directly benefit the development of a much-needed women's rescue center, providing essential support to women facing challenges such as homelessness and domestic violence. In our historic city, numerous women are facing unimaginable challenges such as homelessness, domestic violence, feeding their children, and extreme economic hardship. Many of these women have children. These courageous individuals require more than just a roof over their heads; they need a place of safety, healing, and most of all, hope. The Old Savannah City Mission Women's Shelter aims to offer precisely thata refuge where women can rebuild their lives through the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
