WILLIAMSON COUNTY FIRE RESCUE IS AN ALL-VOLUNTEER SQUAD WHO RAISES THEIR OWN FUNDS FOR TRAINING AND EQUIPMENT. CURRENTLY THEY FIGHT WILDFIRES IN FULL HOUSE FIRE GEAR, WHICH IS BULKY, HOT, AND HEAVY. THIS RACE IS RAISING FUNDS TO PURCHASE 20 SETS OF WILDFIRE GEAR WHICH IS LIGHTER IN WEIGHT, SAFER, AND BETTER SUITED TO FIGHT WILDFIRES.
