This year, we're excited to introduce the Island Stiletto Dash, a unique and fun segment where participants don stilettos to walk in solidarity with ovarian cancer patients. Dressing up as your favorite island character adds to the festive atmosphere, making this event a delightful experience for everyone. With over 23 years of tradition, the race promises a memorable day filled with camaraderie, post-race refreshments, and great prizes, including medals and shirts for all participants. Gather your friends, family, and coworkers to make a difference in the community while enjoying the scenic backdrop of Downtown St. Petersburg. Grab your bucket hat and coconut waterjoin us for a tropical 5K adventure inspired by "Gilligans Island!" Were running to raise awareness and support for Ovarian Cancer fighters, survivors, and research. Looking to go a shorter distance? Sign up for the S.S. Minnow Mile, a fun 1-mile event you can run or walk.
New this year is the Island Stiletto Dash where we Walk in her shoes, so she doesn't have to go it alone. Its a spirited, crowd-favorite portion of the walk where men & women step into stilettos in solidarity. Its awkward and unforgettable!
Dressing up is encouraged and we have some fun island-themed ideas in the works! Who will you come as... The Professor? Lovey? Marianne? An island native?
The Celma Mastry Ovarian Cancer Foundation's One Step Closer race has been a tradition for 23 years! Grab your friends, coworkers, and family and run, jog, or walk in beautiful Downtown St. Petersburg and help provide financial assistance to local patients and support research, prevention, and education in the community!
