This exciting, family-friendly event is perfect for runners and walkers of all abilities, featuring a scenic 5K untimed out-and-back course that begins at the Oregon Zoo and meanders toward the stunning International Rose Garden before returning to the Elephant Plaza. While the 5K has reached its limit of 2,500 entrants, there's still room for young participants in the Tot Trot for children aged 0-4 and the Gobble Gallop for kids aged 5-10.
Every participant will receive a stylish beanie hat and a delicious chocolate turkey, making this event a delightful experience for the whole family. Don't miss out on the optional event shirts, but be sure to order by November 1st, 2024. AS OF NOVEMBER 7TH, THE 5K HAS REACHED ITS LIMIT OF 2500 ENTRANTS! THE KID'S RUN IS STILL OPEN, BUT NO MORE ENTRIES FOR THE 5K FUN RUN CAN BE ACCEPTED. PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO WAIT LIST FOR THIS EVENT.
The ORRC Turkey Trot at the Oregon Zoo is a multi-generational family event. Runners and walkers of all abilities love the 5K, untimed out-and-back course. The event starts at The Oregon Zoo, goes out toward the International Rose Garden, then finishes inside The Oregon Zoo at the Elephant Plaza. The Tot Trot (children 0- 4 years old) and the Gobble Gallop (for children between 5 and 10 years old) events follow the 5K.

We are going back to scheduled start times of 7:30 AM for runners and 7:45AM for walkers at SW Knights Blvd startline between Zoo parking lot and Western Forestry Center. Course is between Oregon Zoo and the road heading down to the International Rose Garden, finishing inside the zoo at Elephant Plaza. NEW for 2024!! Registration is capped at 2,500 and there is no day of race registration -

With the purchase of a child's entry there is one free adult admission to the zoo. Additional persons wanting to accompany or watch the child must purchase an additional entry ticket. NOTE: Zoo membership will NOT allow entry into the zoo since the zoo is closed to everyone except race entrants Tot Trot and Gobble Gallop start at The Oregon Zoo's Elephant Plaza. No ORRC member discount is available for youth rates or multi-person (family) rate. Beanie hats will be given to all entrants. Shirts are optional purchase item if purchased by November 1, 2024 Additional zoo admission tickets can be purchased at "Additional Ticket" option. Zoo is officially closed except for those who have purchased ORRC Turkey Trot bibs. -
