CELEBRATE THE 44TH OWEGO STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL WITH A 5K RUN/WALK!

THE STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL ROCK AND RUN 5K is Thursday night, June 18, 2026 at the Hickories Park in Owego.

4:30 - BIB PICK UP OPENS, KID'S RUN REGISTRATION-LOCATION AT THE BANDSTAND AREA.

5:15 - KID'S FUN RUN - ALL KID, 12 AND UNDER, MUST REGISTER WITH A PARENT.

6:00 - 5K RACE STARTS WITH A 2026 STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL RACE MEDAL FOR EVERY 5K PARTICIPANT.

ALL 5K PARTICIPANTS THAT SIGN UP WILL RECEIVE THE ANNUAL 2026 STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL RUN MEDAL!

KID'S FUN RUN RACE STARTS AT 5:15 - Ages 12 and under. Runners must register and have a parent sign for them to enter the race, so come early. Fun Run racers will receive a numbered bib and a medal!

Day of the race: Coming into the Hickories Park, please remember to DRIVE SLOWLY!

There will be a lot of people parking and gathering around the band stand area. Kids may be running their Fun Run. There will be orange cones and volunteers to highlight the race, and help with safety. Please DRIVE SLOWLY entering the park.

PLEASE NOTE: Runners only in front 2 lines. Slower runners, walkers, and walkers with strollers please start further back to prevent congestion and ensure a safe, smooth start for everyone. Line up where you might expect to finish. Thank you!

This is a Rain or Shine event.

This event follows the standard running industry policy: All entry fees are non-refundable. We reserve the right to postpone or cancel the event due to circumstances beyond our control such as a natural disaster or emergency or as required to protect the safety of participants and staff. No refunds will be issued under these circumstances.

Tee shirts are available at a discount for runners/walkers that register on Run Sign Up!

Tee shirts will also be available for sale at the 5K race at event pricing.

MUSIC AND FESTIVITIES START AT 5:00.

Following the 5K Race, join us for more free music and fun at the Hickories bandstand. Music, vendors and ice cream and food trucks until 8:00!

ICE CREAM WORKS will be bringing their ice cream truck! Yum!

PITSTOP POPCORN will be there! Great popcorn treats!

THE CELLAR RESTAURANT WILL BE COOKING ON SITE!

Friday night, June 19 - starting at 5:00 pm, music, vendors, food and fireworks in the Village.

Saturday, June 20 - in the Village, the Strawberry Festival Parade starts at 9:30, vendors, food, entertainment all day!
