This exciting event will kick off in front of the McKissick Center on Hwy 93 at 7:30 PM, inviting both runners and walkers to join in on the festivities. Participants are encouraged to unleash their creativity in the "Glow Attire Contest" at 7:00 PM, with awards for the most dazzling outfits. The course promises an exhilarating experience, complete with directional arrows and course monitors to ensure a safe run.
This vibrant evening not only celebrates health and community but also supports a fantastic cause. Pickens County Meals on Wheels is dedicated to ensuring that no senior is left isolated or hungry, delivering 450 meals a day with the help of over 500 volunteers. Join us for a post-race snack and a fun "selfie-station" with UV lighting to capture your glowing moments! PICKENS COUNTY MEALS ON WHEELS IS EXCITED TO BE HOSTING OUR 8TH ANNUAL 5K GLOW RUN. THE RACE WILL TAKE PLACE IN FRONT OF THE MCKISSICK CENTER ON HWY 93 AND END AT THE REAR OF OUR BUILDING ON EDGEMONT AVENUE. WE WILL BE HOLDING A "GLOW ATTIRE CONTEST" AT 7:00PM WHERE PARTICIPANTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO BE CREATIVE WITH THEIR GLOW ATTIRE. AWARDS WILL BE GIVEN TO FIRST AND SECOND PLACE.
_THE TIMED RACE WILL BEGIN AT 7:30_ AND WE WELCOME RUNNERS AND WALKERS TO JOIN IN ON THE FESTIVITIES THIS YEAR.

PICKENS COUNTY MEALS ON WHEELS IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT IS DEDICATED TO MAKING SURE THAT NO SENIOR IS LEFT ISOLATED OR HUNGRY. WITH THE HELP OF 500 VOLUNTEERS, WE DELIVER 450 MEALS DAILY, ENSURING OUR AGING NEIGHBORS REMAIN INDEPENDENT AND CONNECTED. IN 2025 ALONE, WE WILL SERVE 600 SENIORS AND PROVIDE OVER 80,000 MEALS. OUR BUDGET RELIES ON FUNDRAISING AND DONATIONS TO HELP US CONTINUE TO PROVIDE MEALS AND A FRIENDLY SAFETY CHECK TO OUR HOMEBOUND SENIORS.
