Join us for the 7th Annual Pickens County Meals on Wheels 5K Glow Run on Saturday, October 12th, 2024, in Liberty, Pickens! This vibrant evening event kicks off at 7:30 PM in front of the McKissick Center on Highway 93 and promises a fantastic experience for runners and walkers of all ages. Participants are encouraged to don their most creative glow attire for a chance to win awards in the Glow Attire Contest, starting at 7:00 PM.
As you race through the illuminated course, which winds its way through the heart of Liberty, enjoy post-race snacks and capture fun memories at the "selfie-station" featuring UV lighting! Awards will be presented to the top three males and females across three age brackets: 15 and under, 16 to 29, and 30 and over. This uplifting event not only promotes health and fitness but also supports a wonderful cause—helping ensure that no senior in Pickens County goes hungry or isolated. Mark your calendar for an evening of fun, community spirit, and glowing enthusiasm!

PICKENS COUNTY MEALS ON WHEELS IS EXCITED TO BE HOSTING OUR 7TH ANNUAL 5K GLOW RUN. THE RACE WILL TAKE PLACE IN FRONT OF THE MCKISSICK CENTER ON HWY 93 AND END AT THE REAR OF OUR BUILDING ON EDGEMONT AVENUE. WE WILL BE HOLDING A "GLOW ATTIRE CONTEST" AT 7:00PM WHERE PARTICIPANTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO BE CREATIVE WITH THEIR GLOW ATTIRE. AWARDS WILL BE GIVEN TO FIRST AND SECOND PLACE.
_THE TIMED RACE WILL BEGIN AT 7:30_ AND WE WELCOME RUNNERS AND WALKERS TO JOIN IN ON THE FESTIVITIES THIS YEAR.

IN 2023 WE WILL PROVIDE OVER 90,000 MEALS TO OVER 600 SENIOR NEIGHBORS IN PICKENS COUNTY. OUR BUDGET RELIES ON FUNDRAISING AND DONATIONS TO HELP US CONTINUE TO PROVIDE MEALS AND A FRIENDLY SAFETY CHECK TO OUR HOMEBOUND SENIORS.
