Join the vibrant community of Owego, Tioga, for the Pierogi 5K Run/Walk for Ukraine on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 10 AM to 11 AM at Hickories Park. This spirited event invites participants of all ages to run or walk in support of Ukraine while enjoying a fun-filled day of camaraderie and purpose. Registration starts at 9 AM, and the race kicks off at 10 AM, followed by live music and an awards ceremony at 10:30 AM.
Not only will you experience the thrill of the race, but every finisher will also be treated to a complimentary pierogi sample, with additional tasty treats available by donation. Proceeds from this event will benefit Regenerate Ukraine's Immigrant Emergency Fund, directly supporting refugees in Broome and Tioga Counties. Regenerate Ukraine Pierogi 5K Run/Walk
Owego, NY- On Saturday, October 11, from 10-11 am, Southern Tier residents will run, walk and cheer to support Ukraine by participating in Regenerate Ukraine's Pierogi 5k Run/Walk at Hickories Park in Owego, NY. Proceeds will go towards Regenerate Ukraine's Immigrant Emergency Fund for refugees who now live in Broome and Tioga Counties. Learn more at regenerateukraine.org. [http://regenerateukraine.org]

10:00- Race begins

Finishers will receive a free pierogi sample. Other treats will be available by donation.
Regenerate Ukraine is an inclusive volunteer organization that facilitates cross-cultural exchange to invest, enact and envision the future of a free, sustainable, and prosperous Ukraine.
We do this through:
Virtual and in-person cross-cultural exchange programs exploring language, technology, ecology, arts, and culture that are relevant to the economic, cultural and ecological regeneration of Ukrainian communities in a time of war and displacement.
Offering culturally appropriate language, literacy, health, and career training for immigrants and displaced people of various backgrounds, as well as providing direct support for newly-arrived families displaced by the war in Ukraine.
Organizing, collecting, and delivering direct humanitarian aid to Ukraine, including medical supplies, food, clothing, educational materials, technology, and rebuilding resourcesdirectly to individuals, families, schools, and community institutions in Ukraine affected by war and humanitarian crises.
Partnering with U.S. and Ukraine-based nonprofits, civic groups, and institutions to coordinate charitable efforts, amplify impact, and fund culturally and socially beneficial initiatives aligned with our mission.
