Join us for an inspiring day of community spirit at the "Pitch In for the Hill Country" event on Sunday, July 20th, 2025, in vibrant San Antonio, Bexar! This special ride will take participants on a scenic journey of approximately 7-10 miles each way to the San Antonio Missions baseball game. As we come together to support those affected by the recent floods in the Hunt/Kerrville area, your participation will help raise funds for Kerrville Social Services, which is tirelessly working to coordinate disaster relief efforts.
Not only will you enjoy a delightful evening of baseball on Military Appreciation Night—where active duty military and veterans can attend for free along with up to three guests—but you'll also be making a meaningful contribution to a worthy cause. The cost to participate in this ride is just $5, with the option to donate more. Remember to bring along your phone or debit card for any additional expenses. Organiser's Description
I'm sure everyone by now has seen the news and is aware of the devastation and tremendous loss of life up in the Hunt/Kerrville area. Most of us have full time jobs and families to care for, so we can't just pack up and head north, but we can still help. This will be a ride to the Sunday evening San Antonio Missions game on July 20th, we'll stay to watch the game, and then ride back, so roughly 7-10 miles each way (Route TBD).
July 20th is Military Appreciation Night, so active duty military, and veterans like me (Joshua) can get in free along with up to three others, so we should have enough veterans to get everyone in free. I would recommend bringing your phone or debit card just in case though. Cost for this ride is $5, with the option to donate more, and 100% of the proceeds will be going to Kerrville Social Services, an arm of the Salvation Army in Kerrville, Texas, as they are coordinating the donation and volunteer efforts for the flood response.
***There are no prizes, trophies, t-shirts, etc for this ride. You'll get most likely free entry to the baseball game, and that will likely be it, as we want all the money to go where it's desperately needed.
