Join us for the exciting Annual Polar Bear Plunge 5K on Saturday, January 17th, 2026, in the scenic Copperas Cove, Coryell! This exhilarating event, part of the Centex Race Series, kicks off at the Copperas Cove City Park with runners completing three laps around the beautiful park, starting and finishing at the City Park Pool.
With a registration fee of just $25, participants are encouraged to sign up before January 7th to avoid price increases and ensure they receive an event shirt. Don't forget, online registration closes on January 13th at 8:00 am, but you can still register onsite starting at 7:00 am on race day! Early bib pick-up will take place on January 15th and 16th at the Copperas Cove Civic Center from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, with limited race bags available for the first 200 participants.
After the race, join in on the fun with a chance to win raffle prizes while awaiting race results. And for the brave-hearted, dive into the City Park Pool for the thrilling Annual Polar Bear Plunge, featuring a belly flop contest that promises plenty of laughter and excitement. Don’t miss

Organiser's Description
The Annual Polar Bear 5K, part of the Centex Race Series, will be held at the Copperas Cove City Park on January 17th, 2026. Start and finish will be at the City Park Pool with 3 laps around the park. Registration fee is $25, price increase starting January 7th. UPDATE: Online registration ends January 13th at 8:00am. Must register by January 2nd to be guaranteed a shirt! There will be onsite late registration starting at 7:00 am morning of the race.
Early Bib Pick Up will be on January 15th and 16th at the Copperas Cove Civic Center (1206 W Ave B, Copperas Cove) from 9:00am - 6:00pm, we will not hand out prior to 9:00am. Only first 200 participants to pick up bibs will receive bags as we only have limited quantity. Same day bib pick up will start at 7:00am.

CLOSEDThis race is part of the Cen-Tex race series! Awards to the top M/F finishers, and top 3 M/F age group finishers. Age groups: 11&U, 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34 etc to 70+. Race day registration and packet pick up will be at the race site from 6:45-7:45am. Early packet pick up will be on January 16th and 17th, 2025 - 9am to 6pm at the Copperas Cove Civic Center, 1206 W Ave B. First 200 runners to pick up their packet will be guaranteed a bag. Shirts guaranteed if registered by January 2rd, 2025.
