This premier short track SwimRun event is designed for beginners and seasoned athletes alike, featuring a thrilling 3-loop course that includes a 300m upstream swim in the beautiful James River, followed by a challenging 2km trail run.
Participants will experience a unique race format with no transitions, as you must carry all your gear throughout the event. Heats will start one minute apart, ensuring a smooth flow and plenty of excitement as athletes of all ages compete. Kids will also have their chance to shine at the end of the adult heats! With a 2-hour finish limit and awards ceremony kicking off at 11 am, including cash prizes for the top three overall male and female finishers, this is an event you won't want to miss. Plus, enhance your open water skills with an expert-led clinic by three-time Masters National Champion James Crabb following the race. Get ready for an unforgettable day of adventure and camaraderie!

Organiser's Description
Experience Virginia's premier short track SwimRun event, located at Robious Landing Park, just minutes outside of the state capital This beginner friendly 3-Loop course starts with a 300m upstream swim in the James River followed by a 2km trail run. You may use any gear you wish, but you must carry it all throughout the race. No transitions, no shedding equipment. Athletes will start in heats 1 minute apart, Overall heat first and then ascending age groups. Kids race will start at the end of adult heats. There is a 2 hour limit to finish and awards will begin promptly at 11am.
Top 3 Overall Male and Female will receive a prize purse ($100, $50, and $20 respectively). To be eligible, you need to enter into the overall category (this will remove you from age group results)
If you wish to sharpen up your open water skills, there is an expert lead clinic following the race coached by James Crabb (3-time Masters National Champion). Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity!
