Get ready for an exciting day of health, community, and fun at the Annual PVSchools Community 5K Fun Run/Walk, taking place on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Horizon High School in Phoenix, Maricopa. This energetic event aims to promote a healthy, active lifestyle among district employees, their families, and the vibrant community they serve. Participants can look forward to a chip-timed 5K race, starting at 9:15 AM, along with a special Kids Dash for children ages 10 and under.
As we celebrate the 15th year of this fantastic event, runners and walkers will enjoy a well-marked course with support stations along the way. Be sure to register by January 17, 2025, to secure your official race t-shirt, available in a variety of sizes for both adults and kids. Join us for a family-friendly health fair, enjoy healthy snacks, and cheer on participants as they compete for awards in various age divisions. Don’t forget—there’s no better way to kick off the new year than by getting active and supporting a great cause in your community!

The Annual PV Schools Community 5K Fun Run will be held on February 1, 2025, at Horizon High School. Our goal is to raise awareness and encourage district employees, their families, and the community they serve, to live a healthy, active lifestyle. *You must be at the event to receive your t-shirt*
Join us in making the 15TH YEAR the best year yet!
PLEASE REMEMBER TO CHOOSE A SCHOOL/SITE WHEN YOU REGISTER. EACH RACE PARTICIPANT NEEDS TO BE ASSIGNED TO A SCHOOL/SITE SO THAT LOCATION HAS A CHANCE TO WIN!!
NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED. Also, runners/walkers will not be allowed to start more than 5 minutes past the start time at 9:15 for safety and contractual reasons, so please be on time as we want you to participate!
T-shirts will be provided the day of the event to our registered participants in sizes S to XXL as well as a limited number of youth sizes. Please be certain to indicate your T-shirt size on your registration form, and register by January 17th, 2025 to guarantee a race t-shirt. *You must attend the event to receive your t-shirt*
Water and healthy snacks will be available before and after the race.
This event is chip-timed by Race Timers and results will be posted on PVUSD's website.
Please note there is a small online registration fee charged by RunSignup. We have kept our registration fees flat for the past several years to help offset the small fee charged to register online. Thank you!

COURSE INFORMATION
Runners will exit the Horizon HS football field south at the back gate and head east on Nisbet Rd up to Greenway Rd. Runners/Walkers will proceed down 64th St to Acoma then up 56th St back to Nisbet to renter and finish on the field. There are 2 aid stations on the course: One is on 64th St just south of Greenway. The other is at the elementary school on Acoma near 60th Street.

Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd male and female finishers in each age division:

* 30-39
* 40-49
* 50-59
* 60-69
* 70+
SPECTATOR INFORMATION
We welcome spectators to cheer on our runners!
Furry friends will not be allowed in the event or on the field/premises for safety reasons.

Kids 10 and under are FREE with parental supervision. Please make certain to register your under 10 participants so they can select a T-shirt size and have their parent or guardian sign the waiver. FREE dash events for kids 10 and under will be held BEFORE the race at 8:45am. Awards for 1st through 3rd place will be presented in each age category immediately afterward the 5K. -
