Starting at 10:00 a.m. on the sidewalk in front of the President's House, participants will kick off their adventure with a Moonpie in hand, before dashing down Highway 93, spurred on by the iconic Death Valley Cannon.
As runners make their way to the halfway mark near Sikes Hall, they'll tackle another Moonpie and an ice-cold cola, providing the perfect boost for the final stretch to the finish line. Celebrate your accomplishment with one last cola at the Esso Club, surrounded by fellow participants and Clemson spirit. This beloved event honors the legacy of former Clemson President R.C. Edwards and his wife, Louise Moonpie Edwards, and continues to bring the community together in a joyous and unconventional way. Don't miss out on this unforgettable day of laughter, camaraderie, and a delightful dash down the hill!

AFTER A SUCCESSFUL RETURN LAST YEAR, ONE OF CLEMSONS MOST LEGENDARY RACES IS BACK ONCE AGAIN. THE RC & MOONPIE PRESIDENTIAL DOWNHILL MILE RETURNS AS A FAST, FUN, AND UNIQUELY SOUTHERN TRADITION... A ONE MILE DOWNHILL WITH A SWEET (AND SLIGHTLY CHAOTIC) TWIST.
PARTICIPANTS WILL GATHER ON THE SIDEWALK OUTSIDE THE PRESIDENTS HOUSE, WHERE THEYLL BE SENT OFF BY A VERY SPECIAL GUEST. AT THE START LINE, RUNNERS WILL EAT THEIR FIRST MOONPIE BEFORE GETTING SENT DOWN HIGHWAY 93 BY THE ICONIC DEATH VALLEY CANNON. AT THE HALFWAY MARK NEAR SIKES HALL, THEYLL TACKLE ANOTHER MOONPIE AND AN ICE-COLD COLA BEFORE MAKING THEIR FINAL PUSH TO THE FINISH LINE. THE REWARD?
