This thrilling event, set against the picturesque backdrop of the Lower Shore Family YMCA, features a variety of race options for athletes of all ages and skill levels. Participants can take on the Sprint Triathlon, which includes a .5-mile swim, a 16-mile bike ride, and a 3.1-mile run. If you're looking for a different challenge, the Duathlon offers a 1-mile run followed by the bike and run segments, while the Aquabike option combines the swim and bike for a unique twist.
Young athletes can join in the fun too with the Kids Triathlon, featuring a 100-yard swim, a 2-mile bike ride, and a 1-mile run. With a freshwater pond swim, flat roadways patrolled by law enforcement, and a scenic trail run, this event is perfect for seasoned triathletes and first-timers alike. In 2023, this event joined our lineup of Rev3 races! New name, Rev3 Pocomoke, but still a great event and venue!
This sprint distance event will take place at the Lower Shore Family YMCA's grounds, located at 1900 Worcester Hwy, Pocomoke City, MD, on June 22nd, 2024.
The race will entail a Sprint Triathlon (.5 mile swim, 16 mile bike, 3.1 mile run), a Duathlon Option (1 mile run, 16 mile bike, 3.1 mile run), aquabike option (.5 mile swim, 16 mile bike) as well as a kids triathlon (100 yard swim, 2 mile bike, 1 mile run). The swim takes place in a freshwater pond, located behind the YMCA. After completing the swim, you will travel out on to the roadways of Worcester County, with law enforcement assisting you at the intersections, to ensure a smooth and safe race. Complete the bike and then it's on to our trail run 5k course, all before finishing up at the Lower Shore Family YMCA.
Come out and compete against other local triathletes, or use the race as your first taste of triathlon. Many participants like our pond swim to build up their confidence and the roadways are flat flat FLAT!!!
