Saturday, SEPT 2020
Ride for Rox is an annual bike ride in celebration of the life of Roxanne Richard. This year, the ride will be held on Saturday August 29th, (the last Saturday of the month) on the smooth roads of St. Landry Parish. Mileage Options: 9, 18, 34, 44, 73 and NEW 100 Miles. Start and finish from Bayou Teche Brewery. 2020 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:Saturday - August 29th, 2020CHECK IN DAY OF REGISTRATION OPENS AT 6:30 AM AT BAYOU TECHE BREWERY (1094 BUSHVILLE HWY, ARNAUDVILLE, LA 70512)
START FOR 100 73 Mile Route - 7:30 AM
START FOR 73 44 MILE ROUTES - 8:00 AMSTART FOR 34 44 MILE ROUTE - 8:30 AMSTART FOR 9 18 MILE ROUTES - 9:00 AMYOU CAN START AT ANYTIME REGARDLESS OF THE DISTANCE.
THE FAMILY RIDE WILL BE A DONATION BASED RIDE SUPPORTINGJDRF (DIABETES FOUNDATION)ANDTRAIL (TRANSPORTATION RECREATION ALTERNATIVES IN LOUISIANAStart TBD in downtown Lafayette, traveling around the University Commons Bike Path, around Blackham Coliseum and then back
30, 40, 50, 60 or 70 Mile Options - Start location TBD in downtown Lafayette, to Roxanne Richards memorial near Grand Coteau and back (the 30 40 mile option does not go this far).
Registration SWAG will include an official Friend of Festival pin from Festival International de Louisiane. These pins are one of the ways which helps Festival International to raise money and keep the festival free.
Ride for Rox Family Ride is a fully escorted 3.6 bike ride starting at 9:30 am, leaving from near the intersection of Congress and Buchannan in downtown Lafayette. Bring the kids on their bikes or pull them in your bike trailer. Fun for the whole family! We also have bikes and trailers for rent on our website. The first lap of this ride is escorted but you can make the ride as many times as you like on your own.
Ride for Rox is a fully supported ride starting at 8:00 am with distance options of 30 to 70 miles. With Super SAG at Bayou Teche Brewery.
